Items of Extraordinary Value
For shipments containing the items listed below (if the item is acceptable for transport by local customs regulations), the maximum declared value for carriage is limited to 500.00 USD or 9.07 USD per pound, whichever is greater.
- Antiques (includes tableware, glassware, other collectibles)
- Artwork (includes paintings, drawings, vases, tapestries, prints, sculptures, etc.)
- Collectibles (includes coins, stamps, cards, memorabilia)
- Glassware (includes ceramics, porcelain, china, crystal, mirrors, etc.)
- Furs and fur-trimmed items
- Jewellery (includes watches, precious and semi-precious stones, costume jewellery, industrial diamonds, etc.)
- Precious Metal (includes gold, silver, dust, platinum, etc.)
Dimensional Weight
According to standards and practice of the air-express industry, shipment rates are based on the actual or the dimensional weight of the shipment, whichever is greater. Dimensional weight is calculated as shown below:
- Length x Width x Height (cm.) / 6000 = weight in kg.
